Privacy Policy
SpendSafely is built to be private. Your financial records never leave your device unless you export them yourself. We do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal data. There are no ads, no analytics, and no tracking.
Data you create in the app
Transactions, categories, notes, settings, and your optional display name are stored only in a local database on your device. We have no servers and no access to this data. Deleting the app (or using your device's "Clear data" option) permanently removes it.
Backups and exports
Backups and CSV/JSON exports are created only when you start them and are written to a location you choose (or shared with an app you pick). What happens to that file afterwards — for example, a folder synced to a cloud drive — is controlled by you and the services you use, not by SpendSafely.
App lock
The optional app lock uses your device's biometric or PIN screen provided by Android. Biometric data is handled entirely by the operating system; the app never sees, stores, or transmits it.
Purchases (SpendSafely Pro)
Optional Pro features are sold through Google Play Billing. To validate purchases we use RevenueCat, which processes a pseudonymous app user identifier, device type, and purchase history on our behalf. This is the only network feature of the app and the only reason it uses the Internet permission. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. Google Play's terms apply to the payment itself; SpendSafely never sees your payment details.
Data we collect
None, beyond the purchase processing described above. No accounts, no sign-ups, no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no location, no contacts.
Children
SpendSafely does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
